Abstract

I will discuss some cobordism groups in smooth low-dimensional topology and connections between them. These will include the knot concordance group, the rational homology cobordism group of rational homology spheres, and some generalisations and subgroups. No specialised knowledge of low-dimensional topology is assumed.
