Rouquier families for Hecke algebras

Abstract

The work of G. Lusztig on the irreducible characters of finite reductive groups has displayed the important role of the families of characters of the associated Weyl groups. The definition of R. Rouquier for the families of characters has allowed the generalization of this notion to the case of complex reflection groups, with many interesting perspectives. In this talk, we are going to present the method used to determine the Rouquier families for all cyclotomic Hecke algebras.
