A-infinity monads and completion

Abstract

I will talk about completion with respect to a monad in a category C, a general concept used widely not only in topology. Then I will address the question of whether the completion functor is a monad by itself. This is true up to some coherent higher homotopies and allows one to iterate the completion procedure. In some cases this yields an interesting idempotent localization functor.
