The Noncommutativity Geometry of the Quantum Flag Manifolds: An Overview

Abstract
In this talk I will give an overview of our current understanding of the noncommutative geometry of the quantum flag manifolds, emphasising how this rich class of examples serves as a point of contact between the various approaches to noncommutative geometry. In addition to the programs of Beggs--Majid, Connes, and Rieffel, we will discuss connections to noncommutative projective algebraic geometry, Nichols algebras, and Lusztig's quantum root vectors.
