Abstract

The Gaussian functor associates to every real hilbert space a canonical probability space called the Gaussian probability space. This construction is an important tool with a wide range of applications in various domains : ergodic theory, probability theory, operator algebras, representation theory and more recently geometric group theory. In this talk, I will recall this construction and present several applications.
