Abstract
UPDATE: We've had to cancel the seminar.
Simplicial systems are setups that codify various continued fraction algorithms. I will show many examples. I will then consider stationary measures that arise in simplicial systems and show that they are often singular with respect to measures of maximal entropy. As a particular case, this will illustrate how the Rauzy gasket is fundamentally different from the Sierpinski gasket.
