YouTube lectures + online exercises = happier students?

Abstract
We present our experiences in transforming an Honours CompSci course from traditional lecture-based delivery to a blended online learning style. The course in question is "Functional Programming in Haskell" which is fairly theoretical and some students struggle with the material. We review the blended course design, delivery and feedback, from both educator and learner perspectives. We discuss lessons learned through this course transformation, particularly in the context of a growing emphasis on blended online learning at Glasgow.
