Abstract
Conformal field theories with finite simple Lie algebra symmetry, also known as Wess-Zumino-Witten models, were among the first studied and constitute some of the most important examples of rational conformal field theories. These conformal field theories all have an underlying symmetry with respect to affine Lie algebras at integral levels. In this talk I will recall what is known about the integral level case and contrast it with recent work on non-integral levels in the case of sl_3.
