Abstract

Maximal Green sequences were introduced by Keller in the context of cluster algebras as a combinatorial approach to Donaldson-Thomas invariants, but quickly they became an independent subject of study. Using tau-tilting theory, introduced by Adachi, Iyama and Reiten, the notion of maximal Green sequences can be generalised to module categories of finite dimensional algebras or even abelian categories. In this talk I will show how different notions of stability conditions (such as those defined by King and Rudakov) can help us understand maximal Green sequences in module categories. This is joint work with Thomas Brüstle and David Smith.
