Abstract
In this talk I will show how advances in animal tracking, biologging, and remote sensing create unprecedented opportunities to understand and predict ecological processes. These opportunities present several challenges in modelling and data analysis but also exciting times for collaborative work. I will show examples of current work on (1) how seed dispersal by animals affects plant dynamics, and (2) the links between animal condition, time allocation to different behaviours, space use, and individual fitness.
