Bank of England obligations to set capital requirements for banks and insurers that reflect the environmental impact of their assets

The collaborative dissertation taught me to address a legal problem by trying different ‘doors’, instead of using a siloed approach. It also encouraged me to express an original, and bolder, legal opinion on the topic. I found this process extremely creative and intellectually stimulating.

Moreover, the environmental NGO's professionals always gave me great input. For me, it was a great source of inspiration to give a close look at the work of a group of professionals so creative and committed to their job, and knowing that with my dissertation I had the opportunity to help the environmental NGO in its activities gave me a great incentive to work hard on it.

I would suggest a collaborative dissertation to everyone interested in using the legal knowledge acquired during the LLM to make a concrete impact. The collaborative dissertation with the environmental NGO was one of the best experiences of my LLM, if not the best.

Participating in a collaborative LLM dissertation was extremely valuable for us - it really helped us to drive forward our thinking and understanding of a particular area while we didn't have the capacity to do it ourselves internally.
