“I walk there every day but I never saw it that way” by Ed Webb-Ingall

I took part in the artistic project entitled “Shore: How We See the Sea” which aims to explore coastal communities’ responses to Marine Protected Areas in Scotland.
For the project “Shore: How We See the Sea”, Invisible Dust commissioned two new films which aim to explore coastal communities’ responses to Marine Protected Areas in Scotland. I was contacted by one of the film-makers, Ed Webb-Ingall, to participate in his film which focused on the Isle of Arran. Ed asked me to give my legal perspective on ownership of the sea as well as the different factors to be taken into account in managing the sea. The final product is called “I walk there every day but I never saw it that way”. The films recently toured around Scotland and the final event of the tour took place in April at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.
