Biography
Alessio Azzutti is a Lecturer in Law and Technology (FinTech) at the University of Glasgow. With a multidisciplinary academic foundation, he holds a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.Sc. in Finance and Risk Management from the Università degli Studi di Firenze, an LL.M. in Law and Economics from Utrecht University, and a Doctorate in Law (cum laude) from Universität Hamburg.
Before joining the University of Glasgow, Alessio served as a Research Associate in the 'Law, Finance, and Technology' programme at the Institute of Law and Economics, University of Hamburg (2019-22), and later at the Centre for Banking & Finance Law at the National University of Singapore (2022-23).
At Glasgow, he is an active member of the Corporate and Finance Law Research Group. In his research, Alessio integrates insights and theories from various disciplines, including law, finance, socio-economics, and information technology. Alessio's research agenda seeks to advance projects and initiatives that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative research approaches.

Teaching
Alessio teaches a range of subjects across the Law School and Business School. He is the course convenor for the LL.M. in FinTech Law and Regulation, the M.Sc. in FinTech Regulation, and the Microcredential in AI & RegTech. Additionally, he co-teaches the LL.M. courses in International Financial Regulation (with Professor Javier Solana) and AI & Law (with Dr. Zihao Li).
