A book presentation on and discussion of Dr Rahmatian's Lord Kames: Legal and Social Theorist will take place on 15 Jan 2016 at the University of Edinburgh, Neil MacCormick Room, at 5.30 pm. This is a study of the first biography of Kames since the late Ian Ross's Lord Kames and the Scotland of his Day (1972). While Ross's work focused on the life as well as the work, Rahmatian's study focuses on the intellectual biography. Dr Rahmatian will make a short presentation of the themes; Dr James Harris of the University of St Andrews will discuss it; and Dr Rahmatian will respond. There will then be an open discussion. All are welcome; email john.cairns@ed.ac.uk if you wish to attend dinner.
