Roman Legal Tradition
The School of Law is co-publisher, with the Ames Foundation at the Harvard Law School, of Roman Legal Tradition, a journal devoted to the study of the civilian tradition in English. It is edited by Prof Ernest Metzger (University of Glasgow School of Law). The Editor welcomes submissions on any aspect of the civilian tradition in ancient, medieval, and modern law. ISSN 1943-6483.
The Journal is an open access publication: its contents are available from the journal website free of charge. Its contents are also available to subscribers of HeinOnline. Articles and reviews may be freely distributed for any non-commercial purpose.
The Journal's first number appeared in 2002. The first three volumes were published both online and in print under the ISSN 1551-1375. The second volume, a collection of essays dedicated to David Daube, is available on Amazon (see the link to the right).
