Corporate and financial law
Corporate and financial law is a substantial area of research in the School of Law. Its focus encompasses company law, commercial transactions, security interests, legal entities, corporate finance, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and financial regulation. Research methodology within this theme is increasingly diverse, spanning doctrinal, historical, empirical, comparative and law & economics.
We aim to engage effectively beyond the academic community in developing and disseminating our research. Members of this group have been involved in various workshops, hosted at Glasgow University, on topics like shareholder duties, enforcement strategies in financial law and sustainable finance.
