The CFL Research Group had the pleasure to organise a webinar on "AI and the future of law", which discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on corporate governance and insurance law.
The CFL Research Group organised a webinar on "AI and the future of law" on 2nd December 2020. It featured two panels, which discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on corporate governance and insurance law.

The first panel, chaired by Prof. Iain MacNeil and by Prof. Irené-Marie Esser, focussed on the implications of artificial intelligence on corporate governance.
Speakers included:
- Dr Florian Möslein, Professor für Bürgerliches Recht, Deutsches und Europäisches Wirtschaftsrecht, Institut für Handels- und Wirtschaftsrecht, Philipps-Universität Marburg AI and Corporate Governance Moeslein
- Anne Tucker, Professor of Law and Faculty Director, Legal Analytics & Innovation Initiative, Georgia State University College of Law Regtech Tucker
- Ida Levine, Impact Investing Institute AI and ESG
Panellists' presentations and questions from the audience revolved around the impact of artificial intelligence on directors' decision-making processes and duties, "Regtech" and sustainable finance.
The second panel, chaired by Prof. Iain MacNeil and Dr Livashnee Naidoo, focussed on the interplay between artificial intelligence and insurance law.

- Dr Mišo Mudrić, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb and Secretary General of the Croatian Association of Insurance Law.
It took the form of an ‘in conversation’ discussion between the panellists and it was followed by open questions from the audience. Relevant topics included AI and the underwriting/claims process, insurance discrimination, autonomous vehicles, governance and regulation in the insurance value chain, AI and business models.
