Citizens Advice Bureau Placements

The GO Justice centre has a long-standing partnership with Citizens Advice Bureau Scotland. CAB offer students the opportunity to undertake a voluntary internship within one of their Bureaux, and in return students receive extensive training, as well as support to develop their skills until they are ready to advise. These internships involve working for a small number of hours per week during the semester, to be negotiated with individual managers and depending on availability.  Placements allow students to develop communication and problem-solving skills, knowledge of the law in particular areas and crucially give students the opportunity to gain practical legal experience within a reputable organisation and a supported environment.  Students can gain academic credit for their placement subject to meeting portfolio requirements.
