Sii pair win award at Converge 2022

Bacteriology Research Fellow Dr Hua Wang and Wellcome Trust PhD Student Sofia Sandalli won the inaugural IBiolC (Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre) award at CONVERGE 2022 on 3 November in Edinburgh.
Bacteriology Research Fellow Dr Hua Wang and Wellcome Trust PhD Student Sofia Sandalli won the inaugural IBiolC (Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre) award at CONVERGE 2022 on 3 November in Edinburgh.
Awarded for their project ‘Scent No. M', the pair will use the £20,000 project funding prize to make microbial fragrances with the goal of commercialisation.
Dr Wang, who also received a free membership to IBioIC, said: “We are grateful for the amazing support from CONVERGE, providing business training and opportunities to meet other entrepreneurs in Scotland, and super excited to be working with IBiolC in the next stage of the project.”
