On Friday 21 May 2021, Institute PGR students participated in the first iii Online Poster Day for which positive feedback was received from students and supervisors.

Each student delivered a five-minute presentation about their research, supported by a ‘poster’ of three slides) to an audience of their assessors, supervisors, fellow students and other members of the iii community.

There were many positive comments congratulating students on the high standard of their presentations, and thanks goes to the supervisors, assessors, postdoc judges and other PGR students for coming along to offer their support.

It was fantastic to hear about the broad range of research taking place in our institute and to be guided through the colourful and informative posters.

Well done to our prize winners:

  • Maria Laura Vieri (Immunology)
  • Megan Griffiths (Virology)
  • Jana Ovciarikova (Parasitology)
  • Xiang Li (Bacteriology)

You can view the winners' posters in full at the link in the right-hand sidebar.

Special commendations for informative, engaging and well-delivered poster presentations go to: Abdullatif Bin Khunayn, Aisling Brady, Anna Sims, Cameron Best, Daniel Goldfarb, Elizabeth Chimbayo, Hannah Baer, Najla Alfaqeer, Patrick Shearer and Spyros Lytras.

Well done to everyone involved in setting up, organising and running this amazing event. We look forward to the next one.
