The Institute of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation and Wellcome Centre for Molecular Parasitology won a member award for our short film at the Scotland Malawi Partnership AGM in October.
This year's event was held at Stewart’s Melville College, Edinburgh, and the standard of entries from all over the Country was extremely high.
The judging panel decided that our short film, showcasing the University of Glasgow’s activities in Malawi over the last few years, demonstrated excellence in all areas of partnership in Malawi, and in particular with Malawian educational Institutions.
On receiving the award, Professor Paul Garside, Global Health Lead at the Institute of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation, said:
“This award is all about partnership. Partnership with our friends and colleagues at University of Malawi College of Medicine, partnership between funders such as Scottish government, Beit Trust, Wellcome and World Bank and partnership between Scotland and Malawi.”
