Govan Regeneration
Govan is at the heart of Glasgow City Council's waterfront development programme, said to be the largest of its kind in Europe. An interactive map gives a good impression of the overall scale and the Central Govan Action Plan gives details about what is proposed for Govan itself. A review of potential development of Govan Old Parish Church which is at the heart of the redevelopment area was carried out as part of this process.
Govan on Canmore

Some images of the church and its sculpture are also provided. The West of Scotland Archaeology Service (WOSAS) Sites and Monuments record contains a similar record of the site. The church itself is a Category A listed building and the churchyard and stones (though not the church itself) are Scheduled Ancient Monuments (PDF file). Historic Scotland provide a range of information about Scheduled Ancient Monuments and the scheduling process; they also provide information about Listed Buildings and the definition of the different categories used.
