Apply for a two-year fixed-term post in modern or late-modern Scottish History
The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint a fixed-term (two years) Lecturer in Modern/Late-Modern Scottish History (Learning, Teaching and Scholarship Track) within the School of Humanities.
The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to teaching and scholarship activities across our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Duties will include:
- Delivery of lectures relating to modern-era Scotland on our flagship first year undergraduate course ‘History 1A: Scotland's Millennium: Kingdom, Union and Nation c 1000-1999’ (HIST1008), alongside seminars and assessment marking.
- Contribution to our team-taught postgraduate course, ‘Issues, Ideologies and Institutions of Modern Scotland’ (HIST5012)
- Sole teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level of one or more of the following modern Scottish History courses, relative to the successful applicant’s expertise:
- HIST4203 Migrant Nation: Scotland and the Modern World 1745-1979
- HIST4185 Devolving the Nation: Scotland 1945-2004
- HIST5123 Scottish Radicalism 1848-1950
