The archaeology of the 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival
Dr Kenny Brophy, University of Glasgow

This seminar will be livestreamed

All welcome

Our first seminar of the year will be given by our own Dr Kenny Brophy, who will be talking about The archaeology of the 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival. This seminal event took place over a 120-acre site on the south side of the Clyde, and the material legacy of the Festival is being researched by the After the Garden Festival project. In this seminar Kenny will discuss the archaeological components of this project, including reporting on excavation and survey work in 2022 and 2024, and his research into the representation of archaeology during the Festival itself.
