Virtual Reality Teaching Competition
The University is seeking the very best ideas for how to use Virtual Reality (VR) in teaching, and subject to funding, we intend to develop the ten best ideas into professional-standard applications.
It is hoped that in the coming months, the University will be in a position to develop a number of VR applications for use in teaching on Campus and in preparation for this development, we are creating a Virtual Reality Competition. Full information about the call for submissions is available here. The deadline for initial outline ideas is 19 May, 2017. Selected proposals will be taken forward for further development and a second stage selection before final selection in July 2017. Support throughout the competition will be provided by Dr Neil McDonnell. Please direct enquiries to vrar-lab@glasgow.ac.uk .
You do not need to be well-versed in VR technology to apply, you just need to see its potential in teaching and may find this video a source of inspiration.
