Alex Alexander, currently doing a MRes in Archaeology, is runner up in the Prehistoric Society’s Undergraduate Dissertation Prize. This prestigious award was won amidst stiff competition from students across the UK. Alex worked on her dissertation during her Senior Honours year at the University of Glasgow, on her way to a First Class degree in Archaeology.  Alex’s dissertation topic was ‘Neolithic pottery from Dunning, Perthshire.  Understanding Neolithic ceramic practice using a multi-disciplinary approach’, an excellent and original piece of research analysing prehistoric pottery found during the SERF Project.  Alex recently received her prize in London at Burlington House, home to the Society of Antiquaries of London.

Alex receives her certificate from Prehistoric Society President Alex Gibson
