4 new History appointments
- Callum Brown FRSE has been appointed Professor of Late Modern European History. He has previously held chairs at Strathclyde and Dundee, and is a leading historian of religion in society in Scotland and internationally. He is Adjunct Professor at the University of Guelph and has formerly held a visiting appointment at UBC.
- Peter Jackson has been appointed Professor of Global Security. He was previously John Anderson Professor of International History, University of Strathclyde and is co-editor of Intelligence and National Security. He is Visiting Professor at Institut dʼétudes politiques, Paris, in 2013.
- Michael Rapport has been appointed Reader in European History. Dr Rapport is currently Senior Lecturer at the University of Stirling. His work on European revolution has been translated into five languages.
- Daniel Scroop has been appointed Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Citizenship. He was previously Senior Lecturer in American History at the University of Sheffield.
