Visiting Glasgow
Glasgow is Scotland's largest city and is renowned for its culture, style and the friendliness of its people. Indeed it was recently voted the 'friendliest city in the world' in a Rough Guide poll. We look forward to welcoming you here and hope you will leave time to explore what the city has to offer beyond the University. Likely to be of particular interest to delegates are: The University’s Hunterian Art Gallery and Museum, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and Glasgow Cathedral (N.B. The world-famous Burrell Collection is currently closed for refurbishment).
The conference will be taking place on the University’s main campus at Gilmorehill, in the city’s West End, 3 miles (4.8km) from the City Centre. This is also where the student halls of residence are situated. The city is well served by public transport and getting around is relatively easy.
