About the IIAC
Over the 30+ years of its existence, the IIAC has done more than any other association to promote and develop the study of Insular Art. The published proceedings of each conference have ensured the dissemination of the latest research to a wide academic audience. The IIAC seeks to encourage the highest standards of research in Insular Art, to promote the sharing of new knowledge, to provide support for younger scholars in their career development, and to provide a forum for the scattered international community of Insular Art scholars. Although participants are predominantly academic researchers (University staff and students, museum curators) the IIAC also recognises the high quality of research by Independent scholars in the field.
