‘Decolonising the Curriculum: what, why, and where next?’

Focused on teaching and learning, discussions will involve presentations of decolonial course reform across different Subjects in the School; an exploration of radical pedagogies and interdisciplinary approaches to the decolonial humanities; presentation of the UofG network ‘Decolonising the Curriculum - Community of Practice’; insights from James McCune Smith fellows; and examples of staff-student partnerships. The day will conclude on a keynote talk by Sheila Asante of Museums Galleries Scotland, discussing decolonial approaches in the heritage sector. The event will be open to all staff and UG/PG students in the University.
