Biography
I am a Research Associate on the GALLANT Project . As part of the Systems Transformation workstream, my work examines the social, health and environmental co-impacts of Glasgow's just transition to net-zero.
I have held positions at Universities in the UK (Oxford, Birmingham, Sussex) and the US (Florida, North Carolina) as well as non-academic institutions (Centre for International Forestry Research, Not1More) and worked as a consultant for international organisations (e.g. UNEP, IUCN), non-profits (e.g. TRAFFIC, IIED) and sustainability sector businesses.
My previous research has focused on complex multi-sector problems and environmental justice/injustice. This includes the Atmospheres of Violence project which looked at environmental defenders' experiences of atmospheres of violence surrounding development projects, including those (mis)labeled as 'sustainable' and the Another Sky project which mapped violations of indigenous peoples' rights in NE Brazil and worked with indigenous artists and leaders to reflect on the political ecology of land/resource conflicts in the face of COVID.
My full list of academic publications, published reports and policy briefs are available through GoogleScholar
