Laura leads and supports technology enhanced learning on a range of Masters Programmes including Global Mental Health, Genetic Counselling, and Public Health. She provides core support to a range of upskilling postgraduate courses sponsored by the Scottish Funding Council: Impact of Trauma, Substance Use in the Contemporary World, Introduction to Management and Leadership in Healthcare, and Understanding Infant Mental Health and Development. Laura works closely with the Digital Education Unit to optimise the quality of teaching resource and engage innovative approaches to support student learning. Good practice is a core interest with a recent project focusing on the incorporation of employability skills in the core curriculum. In addition, she and her colleague Dr Julie Langan-Martin, launched the first open-access international online course (MOOC), which explores the challenges of suicide prevention in 2020. This has attracted over 10,000 students. Her other MOOCs focus on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Mindfulness for Adolescents.
