Biography

Dr Jilly Hamilton trained in St Andrews and Manchester and then moved back to Glasgow. She worked in various hospital jobs and for a number of years in paediatrics before becoming a GP.

She was a higher professional fellow in general practice, and has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Dundee. She rejoined the unit in 2007 and is now the co-ordinator of the Year 4/5 GP attachment. She also teaches Year 4/5 students in practice.

Outside of the university, Jilly is a partner at Bishopton Health Centre.

In May 2013, Jilly became a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners, in recognition of her contribution in the area of undergraduate teaching.
