Biography
Fred Ho graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a BSc in Statistics and subsequently completed a PhD in Physical Activity Epidemiology in the University of Hong Kong. He is admitted as a Chartered Statistician (CStat) in the Royal Statistical Society.
Fred has extensive experience using R to handle big data with complex structure, such as the UK Biobank, SMR, CPRD, Scottish/English Health Surveys , and Hong Kong CDARS. He is also proficient in various analytic techniques, including causal inference and predictive analytics.

- Cardiovascular epidemiology - understanding the complex interrelationships of environment, behaviour, and chronic conditions with cardiovascular diseases
- Early life factors - identifying pregnancy and childhood factors that can have long-term health consequences
- Precision public health - transforming the current one-size-fits-all public health guidelines into bite-size personal-level advices
