Dr Eleanor Brown

Biography

Eleanor Brown joined the Complexity in Health programme at the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit in 2023, where she is currently a Research Associate on the PERFORM project, investigating exercise rehabilitation for people with multimorbidity. Prior to the University of Glasgow, Eleanor worked at Oxford Brookes University developing a self-management intervention for people with fatigue after critical illness. She has a background in education, social care, and speech-language therapy. Eleanor’s PhD research at Glasgow Caledonian University focused on improving the accessibility of rehabilitation for people with aphasia after stroke.

Eleanor’s research interests include disability access, human rights approaches to healthcare, self-management for chronic conditions, access to arts and culture, and qualitative and participatory methodologies.
