Biography

I am a Lecturer in Data Science at the School of Health and Wellbeing, dedicated to ensuring artificial intelligence (AI) for healthcare is safe and benefits all. I am part of the newly founded Glasgow Lab for Health Data Science & AI (GLABDA). GLABDA leverages big data, novel data science methods and AI technologies to conduct healthcare research and improve healthcare delivery.

My work is focused on the development and testing of AI for breast screening so that it can be used safely and effectively in hospitals.

Last April, I received the Rising Star Award at the 2024 UK Advancing Healthcare Awards, recognising my contributions to this emerging field.
