HEHTA volunteers supported SHW's Feel Good Future Community Day as part of the Glasgow Science Festival
On 10 June, SHW was delighted to welcome the public into the Clarice Pears Building for the School of Health and Wellbeing’s Feel Good Future Community Day as part of the Glasgow Science Festival. A group of HEHTA volunteers (Ben, Ryan F, Ryan M, and Samuel) were on hand to support people in trying our new interactive exhibit, ‘Health Policy Maker for the Day,’ which sparked some interesting and thoughtful discussions. Our ‘Decorate a Piggy Bank,’ station also proved very popular, and was well-received by children and parents/guardians alike. There was also lots of engagement with our doodle wall which asked people how they would spend a health budget.
The event was a great success, with the public enjoying a variety of exhibits offered by the SHW research groups and getting insight into some of the research being undertaken in the School. Clarice Pears Building opened its doors to the public again on 16 September for Glasgow Doors Open Day.
