To study how change in our neighbourhoods might affect our health we need robust information but data showing how our neighbourhoods are changing, at a fine geographic scale, for the whole of Scotland, did not exist - until now.

Social and Public Health Sciences’ Laura Macdonald and Professor Rich Mitchell have published an atlas of change which demonstrates changes in Scotland's built environment and selected features (buildings, roads and woodland) between October 2016 and October 2017.

There is also an interactive mapping tool which allows people to explore the data for themselves.
