Researchers at the University of Glasgow are conducting a study to explore how common everyday activities such as walking, carrying shopping and climbing stairs impact health when performed at different intensities. Our goal is to co-design and test strategies to promote physical activity in day-to-day activities by consulting community members.

We are seeking participants aged 40+ years who do not regularly engage in leisure time exercise (e.g. gym workouts, sports) and whose occupation does not frequently involve activities that significantly increase breathing or heart rate (such as carrying or lifting heavy loads, digging or construction work).

Participation would involve attending 3-4 workshops to help us design a health programme to encourage others to integrate these short bursts of activity into their everyday lives.

You would receive £60-£100 of vouchers for participation and travel will be reimbursed.
