Retirement
The University of Glasgow doesn't have a set retirement age meaning that you can continue to work for as long as you wish.
There is currently no formal policy at the university regarding pre-retirement planning and no formal requirement to make your pre-retirement plans known. Some people, as they approach retirement, may want to consider reducing their hours to improve their work/life balance and/or make the transition to retirement less abrupt. Others may wish to continue their normal working hours until retirement. The choice is yours!
This section offers some signposts and links to help you start thinking and preparing for retirement. And check out the University of Sheffield's comprehensive Planning for Retirement Toolkit!
