SHW mentorship schemes
The aim of the SHW Athena SWAN mentorship schemes is to improve career development for staff and PhD students within the school. This developmental mentoring scheme aims for mentors to assist mentees to make the best decisions for their future and to aid the mentee’s growth and skills development.
Mentorship opportunities are available to research and teaching staff, professional services staff, and PhD students:

- ECR-PhD mentorship scheme
- Privacy notice (mentees)
- Privacy notice (mentors)
SHW's mentorship schemes are overseen by our Athena Swan mentoring arrangements group. The group provides
- ongoing matching of mentors and mentees
- periodic training for mentoring and
- signposting of further resources for mentoring
