Glasgow Low Temperature Thermochronology (GLOW) Research Group
The GLOW laboratory at the University of Glasgow has capabilities and expertise in U-Pb, fission track and (U-Th)/He analysis. This enables us to fully exploit the power of low temperature thermochronology to understand rates and timings of a range of shallow to mid-crustal processes.
We can undertake the full range of sample preparation from mineral separation from the host rock through to preparing samples for an array of in-situ and solution based analytical techniques including thermochronology, geochronology, isotope geochemistry, cosmogenic isotope techniques and high-resolution microscopy.
We can also provide training for visitors on all aspects of acquisition, interpretation and modelling of fission track and (U-Th)/He data. Please contact us for enquiries.
