Thomas McLurg
Throughout my two years as an Apprentice Technician I have gained a high level of experience, skill and knowledge and have so far fully completed and achieved an HNC in Applied Sciences and my first SVQ in Laboratory and associated Technical Activities.
I have had great progress with my personal development and I am now working through my second SVQ qualification and preparing to start a Physics Degree with the Open University. Working as an Apprentice Technician alongside so many highly trained and experienced Technicians and Specialists has given me a deeper appreciation for the Job I am currently working in and has provided a vast amount of knowledge and understanding that I can use to improve my skills every day.
Despite the setbacks of the COVID-19 pandemic I have still managed to maintain my progress in the apprenticeship and I owe a huge thanks to all of the Technicians and Specialists who have taught me in my two years so far.
