Engineering Council

The Engineering Council publishes UK-SPECwhich lays down guidelines for all Degrees leading to Professional Engineering Status. It should help you see where and why your knowledge, skills and abilities are being developed.

QAA

The Quality Assurance Agency publishes Benchmark statements for all UK Degrees. Here is a link to the Engineering Benchmark Statement. It has been written taking account of UK-SPEC.

Engineering Institutions

The Engineering Institutions take account of both UK-SPEC and Engineering Benchmark Statements and give discipline specific guidelines to both you and programme developers.

Your Department and the university takes account of all the above and develops unique degree programmes which are described by the programme specification.
