Biography
Dr. Yao Sun is currently a Lecturer with the University of Glasgow, Glasgow, UK. Dr. Sun has extensive research experience and has published widely in wireless networking research. He has won the IEEE Communication Society of TAOS Best Paper Award in 2019 ICC, IEEE IoT Journal Best Paper Award 2022 and Best Paper Award in 22nd ICCT. He is the regular reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE ACCESS, Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, etc. He is the TPC Chair for UCET 2021, and also TPC Member for numerous conferences, including VTC Spring 2022, WCNC 2020, CyberC 2019, ICCT 2019, ICICT 2020. He was the Guest Editor for serveral international journals including Digital Communications and Networks, Journal of Wireless Communications and Networks, etc.

Dr. Yao Sun has broad research interests in wireless communication and networking area. Specifically
- semantic communications;
- machine learning applications to wireless networks;
- wireless blockchain system;
- vehicular networks;
- Internet of Things;
- wireless resource allocation for next generation mobile networks;
- radio access network slicing;
