Connecting People
Our research priorities encompass a wide range of areas, including future communication such as 5G and 6G wireless networks, satellite communication, cyber-physical systems, autonomy and transportation, including aerospace surveillance, survivability, and simulation.
Healthcare Technologies
Our vision is to attack challenges in medicine and healthcare on a global scale through the intelligent design of materials, devices and systems for healthcare. Our work in this area is underpinned by the James Watt Nanofabrication Centre (JWNC).
Quantum and Nanotechnology
Quantum Technologies are expected to have a transformative impact on how we solve health, economy, and climate problems—and at our School, we want to be at the centre of this 'quantum revolution'!
Net Zero
Our vision is to tackle environmental challenges through the exploration of low/zero carbon energy sources, the development of new materials and processes, the innovations of efficient energy technologies, and the digitalisation of our energy systems.
