The demand for renewable energy sources have significantly increased in the 21st. This demand for renewable energy sources and the increase in its implementation is always accompanied by some problematic issues. These issues are mainly a result of vast difference in climatic and environment worldwide. In this seminar the impact of climatic and environment on the performance of photovoltaic systems in the gulf region is illustrated. How best to optimise the performance of photovoltaic systems for different climatic and environment is also addressed. In this talk, results of three case studies are presented.
