High Frequency Electronics
Welcome to the High Frequency Electronics Group at the University of Glasgow. The group leader is Professor Edward Wasige and the deputy is Dr Abdullah Al-Khalidi.
Our research focus is on advanced technologies and circuits for the microwave, millimeterwave, and/or sub-millimeterwave (aka terahertz) frequency bands and the integration of these with other physical domains to achieve new system functionality.
Our current research interests include:
- Gallium nitride (GaN) electronics
- Terahertz electronics
- Neuromorphic circuits
Our work is fabrication intensive and this is done in the James Watt Nanofabrication Centre. This is complemented by design and characterisation activities.
Prospective research students or postdoctoral fellows should make an initial informal email contact with a copy of their CV and a brief note of research interests and career ambitions.
Additional information on some of our current projects is available at: https://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/engineering/staff/edwardwasige/#additionalinformation
