I am delighted to welcome students, collaborators and colleagues to the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow.
The James Watt School of Engineering’s research and teaching is at the forefront of discovery, creation and practice that is internationally leading in education, innovation and new capability. The James Watt School of Engineering was the first in the UK to confer degrees in Engineering and the University of Glasgow established the first Chair of Engineering in the UK in 1840.
Our mission is to set the standard for education and research in Engineering by developing opportunities, in an environment that supports and nurtures everyone as they work to fulfil their own and the School’s ambitions.
I am certain that the time you spend in the School will be rewarding and successful.
Best wishes,
