Biography
Angela joined the university in September 2023 and is a member of the Pedagogy, Praxis and Faith Teaching Group in the School of Education.
In 1996 Angela graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MA (Soc Sci), moving on to completing the PGCE (Modern Studies) at St. Andrew’s College of Education. Angela achieved her Additional Teaching Qualification (Geography) at the Jordanhill campus of the University of Strathclyde (2000). Through the University of Aberdeen, Angela achieved her Post Graduate Diploma in Pastoral Care and then her MEd Enhanced Educational Practice at the University of the West of Scotland. The focus of both her Diploma and Master’s qualification was supporting young people through mentoring in an educational setting.

Supporting middle learners in the secondary educational setting
Tracking of BGE experiences and outcomes within the social studies context
Integration of Developing the Young Workforce within ITE
Development of trauma informed practice within ITE
Supervision
Angela will continue to supervise students in Year 5 of the MEduc programme.

Additional information
Prior to commencing in the post of full-time lecturer in education, Angela was an Associate Tutor with the School of Education.
Angela is also an SQA marker for N5 Modern Studies, a member of the Scottish Guidance Teachers Association and an associate member of COSCA.
Angela will be an Adviser of Studies for MEduc1 programme.
